Austin Rouse

Austin is the Founder, Inventor of our product line, and Principle Investigator for Luminous Photonics. Austin leads the product vision and technical strategy behind the company’s patented horticultural LED lighting system. The company is guided by his deep interdisciplinary expertise in illumination engineering, photobiology, and research. He is passionate about developing cutting-edge solutions for the controlled environment agricultural industry that are grounded in physics, mathematics, and sound engineering principles. He hopes that his solutions will contribute to making a dent in the global food crisis.

Anne-Marie Rouse

As Co-Founder and CMO of Luminous Photonics, Anne-Marie drives brand, product positioning, and go-to-market strategy for the company’s horticultural lighting solutions. She brings executive level experience in product development and marketing, having led cross functional teams in complex technical environments at companies such as ADT, Nokia, Ericsson, and Motorola, with a focus on smart home, smart city, and digital transformation technologies. Anne-Marie pairs this background with a B.S. in Marketing from the University of North Carolina, enabling her to translate advanced engineering and research into clear value propositions, partner ready messaging, and commercially viable growth strategies for Luminous Photonics.

Head of Marketing

Somer Rouse

As Head of Marketing at Luminous Photonics, Somer combines brand strategy, digital design, and user experience to position the company in the horticultural lighting and controlled-environment agriculture markets. She has led marketing and engagement initiatives in higher education and services, most recently as Marketing Coordinator for Aramark at Palm Beach Atlantic University, where she managed on-campus campaigns, content, and visual communications. Her practical experience is supported by formal education in marketing and specialized UI/UX design training, giving her a strong foundation in clear messaging, clean visual systems, and intuitive, conversion-focused digital experiences.

Bentley Rouse

Our resident Chiweenie, Bentley, is our morale officer and official nap-time enforcer. Bentley keeps the team grounded with walk breaks, tail wags, and a reminder that great ideas sometimes arrive between snacks.
